to Academic Calendar (10)
In
the beginning of every academic year, an academic calendar is prepared with an
objective to plan the academic activities to be undertaken in the coming year
based on the University circular. It is finalized by the college examination
committee in consultation with the Principal and other staff members. The
calendar specifies the number of days available for teaching excluding
Holidays, Sundays and Examination days. The calendar specifies minimum number
of lectures and practicals to be conducted per semester depending upon
weightage in the curriculum. It gives dates for conduction of internal theory
and practical examinations. The planned dates are subject to change as per the
University circular related to examinations. The teaching plan is prepared
adhering to the academic calendar and given to the students in the beginning of
the semester.
